Charotar University of Science and Technology
Charotar University of Science and Technology is established under the Gujarat Act No. 8 of 1995, Government of Gujarat. University Grants Commission has empowered CHARUSAT to award Degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956.
The journey at Education Campus – Changa (now CHARUSAT Campus) started as a single Institute in the year 2000 with the establishment of Charotar Institute of Technology - Changa (CITC).
It was the first institute and now it is known as Chandubhai S Patel Institute of Technology (CSPIT). The journey began with only with 240 students, 4 programmes, 1 institute and an investment of Rs. 3 Crores. Presently, CHARUSAT offers more than 72 Programs at 9 different institutes under the tutelage of 6 Faculties. CHARUSAT has a student strength of 7500, employee strength of 550 and a capital outlay of Rs. 125 Crores.
Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT) along with IndiaFIRST® Robotics Innovation and Research LLP has decided to establish a Centre of Excellence in Humanoid Robot. This Lab will be an excellent platform for students to learn manufacturing of humanoid robot, artificial intelligence, image processing and embedded systems.
This state of the art Humanoid Robot Lab has been established with an investment of Rs. 10 Lacs and will consists of below mentioned equipments:
- Control System
- Servo Motors
- Humanoid Parts like
- Head and Neck
- Left and Right Hands
- Torso Parts
- Fingers
- Leg parts
- Mobile platform
- Sensors
- Speakers and Mic
Student will be able to understand the various components required to manufacture Humanoid Robot. Designs and Development including the control systems and Chatbot development. This Humanoid Robot shall also have vision computing and Chat bot development as well as Human detection and face recognition abilities.
